1- Partnership Elevated from Strategic Partnership to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership What does it mean?

2- Cultural exchange programs between India & Uzbekistan from 2026 to 2030. What does it mean?

It promotes people to people ties through music, dance, theatre, art museums & literature. It promotes tourism also apart from deepening the understanding of shared history, culture & civilizational links.

3- Letter of Intent on the Conservation & Restoration of Ancient Buddhist sites of Fayaz Tepa & Kara Tepa. (Termez, Uzbekistan) What does it mean?

It highlights the shared Buddhist heritage and provides an opportunity to Indian archaeologists, historians and scholars to go & contribute to the effort.

4- MoU in the Field of Archival Work What does it mean?

It preserves centuries old historical records by documenting the cultural, commercial & intellectual connections. It also supports digitisation & conservation of shared archival heritage.

5- MoU on cooperation in the field of Ayurveda & Other Traditional Systems of Medicine. What does it mean? 

It promotes exchange of knowledge & best practices in Ayurveda & traditional medicine. It also encourages research on medicinal plants, cultivation, processing & quality control.

6- MoU on cooperation in the field of Geology & mineral resources What does it mean?

 

It creates opportunities for greater access to critical & strategic mineral resources apart from

strengthening supply chain resilience. It also facilitates cooperation in R&D between Indian & Uzbek mining cos.

7- Partnership programming the field of tourism What does it mean?

It promotes travel facilitation & joint tourism initiatives. Uzbekistan has allowed visa free visits for Indians (for 6 months) to promote tourism.

 

8- MoU between Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service of Inda & the Diplomatic Academy at the University of World Economy & Diplomacy of Uzbekistan What does it mean?

 

It strengthens the skills & understanding of diplomats through training & professional exchanges. It also deepens understanding in foreign policy & regional priorities.

 

9- MoU for an Economic & financial dialogue What does it mean?

 

It promotes bilateral trade, investment & business. It also improves access to goods, services & markets for both the countries.

10- Agreement on cooperation on environment protection What does it mean?

Promotes cooperation in afforestation, eco restoration & forest & wildlife conservation. It also

advances agreement on circular economy, waste management & sustainable lifestyle.

 

11- MoU in the field of Higher Education & Scientific Research What does it mean?

It advances student & faculty exchanges, academic collaboration & knowledge sharing. It creates opportunities for Indian higher education institutes to expand their global presence.

 

12- Cooperation Agreement between Samarkand region & Gujarat for establishing partnership relations. What does it mean? 

It enables exchange of best practices in city management, urban development, waste recycling & greening.

13- India grants $1 mn for afforestation in the Aral sea region. What does it mean?

It promotes understanding & scholarship of Sanskrit in Uzbekistan apart from advancing People to People ties.

16- Agreement between NPCI International Payments Ltd (NIPL) & National Interbank Processing Centre JSC (NIPC) Uzbekistan to enable UPI Apps to scan national QR. What does it mean?

It facilitates merchant payments through UPI apps in Uzbekistan. It also expands the global footprint of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure.
