BPSC Age Criteria 2024

As per the BPSC qualifying standards, the maximum age limitations for specific categories are varying. The minimum age restriction to complete the BPSC application form is 21.During the document verification stage, applicants must produce the relevant paperwork. Candidates who are unable to furnish these documents will be excluded from consideration for employment. The BPSC preliminary test, main exam, and interview scores are utilized for choosing candidates.

Reservation: The general reservation policy for the Bihar PCS exam ensures that groups that somehow are marginalized in society are given the chance to take the exam and there is equal representation of the categories in the services.

Number of Attempts

BPSC Maximum Attempts: Candidates should realize that they may try the test as many times as they desire. Further, the number of attempts is only permitted three times for government personnel who have worked three years regularly.

BPSC Syllabus (Pre & Mains)

The Bihar PSC (Public service Commission) exam is a state civil service commission exam through which the state selects group A and group B officers. The test is performed in three stages: i.e. Prelims, Mains examination, and Interview:

  • Prelims: It consists of one papers namely, General Studies a maximum of 200 marks.
  • Mains: In this part, four descriptive papers, including two General Studies papers and General Hindi and optional paper.
  • Interview: The final test is an interview worth 100 marks aimed at assessing the subject’s personality and compatibility with a public servant’s career.

This examination design is particularly aimed at evaluating a candidate’s content knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding of many disciplines with special reference to the State of Bihar.
